Michelle Schuele, Ph.D., LMHC has been in private practice for over twenty years. Initially she was in the field of sport psychology and performance enhancement. She quickly took her passion for optimizing sports performance to applying these skills to every day life performance.
The most rewarding aspect of my work comes from helping someone become the best version of themselves. Sometimes this means helping someone cope with a general life stressor. Other times, the focus is on developing the necessary life skills to effectively navigate life. I love that moment when a client gains an understanding of how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors shape their reality. Helping individuals feel empowered over their reality, find their voice, and live life to their utmost potential is what motivates me on a daily basis.
I am certified in EMDR, trained in Lifespan Integration, CBT and contemplative psychotherapy. Besides general life issues I specialize in adolescents, and adults struggling with mood disorders, PTSD, ADD, eating disorder, body image issues, and addictions.
